Bristol Palin makes bank!

The now 20-year-old single mother earned a hefty paycheck for her work as an abstinence ambassador. The daughter of former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin made $262,000 as the Candie's Foundation's spokeswoman, according to the AP.

Palin was famously pregnant by her now ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston, 20, during her mother and John McCain's 2008 run for the White House. She gave birth to her son Tripp, now 2, in December 2009 at age 18, igniting controversy nationwide because of her mother's strong stance on abstinence only sex education for teens.

The figures behind Bristol's massive paycheck came from a Candie's Foundation tax form from 2009. The Candie's foundation was founded in 2001 to shape the way youth in American think about teen pregnancy and parenthood. Candie's chariman and CEO Neil Cole defended the fashion line's choice to promote abstinence: "Just because you're wearing high-heeled sexy shoes doesn't mean you should have a baby."

In addition to her earnings at speaking engagements, Bristol earned an undisclosed amount for her 2010 stint on Dancing with the Stars. In November, she costarred with fellow DWTS contestant Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino in a hilarious PSA to prevent teen pregnancy.
