Caleb Logan, the 13-year-old Bratayley family member who tragically passed away due to an undiagnosed medical condition on Thursday, Oct. 1, was remembered by friends and family at a memorial service broadcast live on YouTube on Tuesday, Oct. 9.

The teen Internet star, whose family has a history of the heart disease hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (as his parents told ABC News) was remembered as a witty, athletic, sensitive child who loved eating sushi, doing magic, and traveling.

The family (who go by the last name Bratayley in their YouTube videos) livestreamed the event via Facebook and Periscope, and started proceedings with an emotional video tribute, featuring clips of birthdays, family vacations, and important moments in Caleb's life, such as visiting the Hilary Clinton headquarters.

Immediate family members did not speak publicly, but one of his cousins made a speech, as did a longtime family friend, and three of his sports coaches.

"Win, lose or draw, he hit the field with the same intensity and drive. He was every coach’s dream player," a man, who identified himself as Coach Daniel, said. "He was so fun. He was easygoing. He never asked for anything. He just went along with the flow and his smile was definitely contagious. He could light up a room," he added.

One of his cousins, Paige, spoke of their close family bond. "He was like a little brother to me," she said. "He loved life and enjoyed every little bit even if it. We went to Australia and everywhere we went he would find sushi. He liked magic cards — magic trick cards. He started collecting them," she continued.

While all speakers commended Caleb's parents, Billy and Katie, for raising their children so well, the livestream ended before the grieving couple spoke.

More than 40,000 people tuned in to watch the emotional memorial. As Us Weekly reported previously, while an autopsy has been completed, an official coroner's report into the official cause of Caleb's death is pending.

His devastated family are sharing news as they get it (and memorial videos featuring their late son) but have asked followers to bear with them "while we deal with this tragedy as a family."
