Charlie Sheen to Write Memoir After HIV Reveal

His story in his words. After years of rumors, Charlie Sheen wants to set the record straight. The Two and a Half Men alum, 50, already told the world that he is HIV-positive in an interview with Matt Lauer on the Today show earlier this week. But now, Us Weekly can confirm that the actor plans to pen his own memoir in the wake of his big announcement.

A source tells Us that Sheen’s manager, Mark Burg, has been “buried with offers” from publishers asking Sheen to tell his story.

“I’m here to admit that I am HIV-positive,” Sheen told Lauer on the Today show this past Tuesday, Nov. 17. He revealed he was diagnosed four years ago and claimed he had been extorted for millions from those who knew.

“I have to put a stop to this barrage of attacks of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me that are threatening the health of so many others,” Sheen said during the interview.
