Congratulations! Hostel director Eli Roth married his fiancee Lorenza Izzo on Saturday, Nov. 8 on the beach in Zapallar, Chile.
Actor and director Roth exchanged vows with his new wife Izzo, a Chilean actress and model, in both Spanish and English, reading stories about how they met in both languages before exchanging vows at noon.
The happy couple narrowly escaped wardrobe drama after Izzo's Vera Wang dress was held at customs for a week and nearly didn't get released in time for the ceremony. Thankfully the dress was delivered just in time, and both looked stunning as they posed for their wedding snap on the beach, Izzo with a crown of orange roses in her hair and Roth looking dapper in an Isaia tuxedo.
After the ceremony, guests headed to the Cachagua Polo Club for an afternoon and evening of food, drinks, dancing, and fireworks.
"There was a singer from Iceland, Brazilian dancers, and a standee for My Big Fat Chilean Wedding that everyone posed with!" a guest told Us Weekly. "At midnight roast lamb was served and people drank and danced until 4 a.m."
During the evening, guests snacked on popcorn served in boxes featuring photos from Roth and Izzo's movies including Aftershock and Green Inferno (Izzo's biggest hits) and Roth's most recent directorial work, Knock Knock, which features his new wife starring alongside Keanu Reeves.
Prior to meeting Izzo, Roth dated Peaches Geldof in 2010, who tragically died of a heroin overdose in February of this year.
