Ellen DeGeneres, is that you? Daytime TV's nicest talk show host ditched the cosmetics on Friday, July 5, as she stepped out for some furniture shopping in Montecito, Calif. sans makeup.
The 55-year-old veteran TV personality and comedienne showed off a sun-kissed face and a few laugh lines as she and a male pal browsed for pieces to furnish her newly purchased, $26.5 million Montecito mansion.
DeGeneres wore a coral-colored T-shirt and white knee-length shorts for the shopping excursion, keeping things casual with a pair of blue-and-olive-green trainers.
Earlier this year, DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi officially bought the 13-acre Tuscan-style villa, and have been settling into their new home ever since. Even with all that room, however, the couple isn't looking to expand their family anytime soon.
"I don't want to have one. I don't want to have six. I don't want to have any," DeGeneres told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show in September 2012, when asked about having children. "They're precious to look at and I love them; we have nieces and I love them very much. [But I] don't want 'em."
Wife de Rossi (the pair tied the knot in 2008) couldn't agree more.
"There comes some pressure in your mid-30s, and you think, Am I going to have kids so I don't miss out on something that other people really seem to love?" she said in an interview with Out magazine earlier this year. "You have to really want to have kids, and neither of us did."
"So it's just going to be me and Ellen and no babies," she concluded.
