Did Fred Willard just have a Pee Wee Herman incident?

The comic actor, 72, was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of engaging in a lewd act at an adult movie theater in Hollywood, police told the Los Angeles Times.

Uniformed officers observed Anchorman, Wall-E and Best in Show star "engaged in a lewd act" at the Tiki Theater and arrested him at 8:30 p.m..

Willard was booked and released; his publicist had no comment.

Willard -- who received an Emmy nomination in 2010 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy for his role as Frank Dunphy on Modern Family -- has been married to wife Mary Willard for 40 years.
