Hulk Hogan Sues Ex-Wife Linda Bollea for Claiming Abuse, Gay Affair

Hulk Hogan is gearing up for another smackdown -- this one in court with ex-wife Linda Bollea.
The wrestling icon, 58, (real name: Terry Bollea) filed an 18-page lawsuit in Clearwater, Fla. on Thursday accusing his ex, 52, of defamation, the St. Petersburg Times reports.
In her memoir Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes, Linda writes of harrowing physical, mental and emotional abuse at the hands of her husband during their 24-year marriage.
"[Hulk] tore my clothes, threw lamps, and held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments," wrote Linda, who has two grown kids, 23-year-old Brooke and 21-year-old Nick, with the WWE star. "I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages."

During radio interviews promoting the tome, Linda also accused her former spouse of cheating on her with another male wrestler, Brutus Beefcake.
Linda's claims, Hulk's lawsuit says, have "exposed him to distrust, hatred, contempt and ridicule."
"He's being accused of all sorts of vile conduct that he did not commit," his attorney Will Florin said. "Miss Bollea's made enough of these outrageous allegations that it's time they stop ... The only realistic way of making them stop is through the court system."

It was recently revealed that Linda received over 70 percent of the couple's liquid assets in their 2008 divorce settlement.
Hogan married Jennifer McDaniel one year ago.

I mean man show some class lady , if your not happy get a divorce take your money cuz you were with him for a number of years and then go away. Why do you have to write a tell all book full of lies. I've watched some of the reality show and boy does Hulk treat her like a queen,she doesn't cook, clean, do anything except yell for the hulckster to do things for her. Although I don't know what goes on behind closed doors I want to believe Hulk is right in this because they were together for many years and now has taken most of the money as well as writing a tell all book which tells me she is only after money,and then to further slap him in the face dates a 19 year old after the breakup or was it while they were still together, either way just shows what a classy chick she is.

How the hell did she get 70 % with the kids being grown? Yea shes such a classy lady she got with a teenage as young as her son when they broke up. I would be willing to bet that she is 90% correct in the allegations. As a former wrestler myself, l've seen this activity thru out the business. It is nothing new and the bigger the name, the bigger the participation.

This woman should have taken her VERY lucrative divorce settlement and shut the heck up. A libel suit can quickly bankrupt this lady. Some women just cant leave well enuff alone.
Took a long time to getting around to saying this kinda stuff, huh? I have heard some stuff coming out of early wrestling venues, but my soul can't even believe this! This sounds like a bitter woman trying get back at someone cause it's over. Move on already! It's getting unnecessary!! How this must look to those kids!

i agree that this is hurtful to his kids, but im not going to call her a liar. we don't know what goes on in someones bedroom.so it could be true. all i have to say is this first i dont think she is a golddigger. she was with him for too many years and put up with too much stuff for that. and secondly something was going on that he didnt want known, why else would she have gotten 70% of THEIR assets. all im saying is HMMMMMMMMMM....????

Elizabeth, He was a star in the WWF, WWE and TNA so this story is correct. He was also in the NWO, which was part of the WWF before thay had to change their name to WWE because of a conflict with the World Wildlife Federation name. You would know this if you ever watched wrestling or did the research.
She is hurting her children with these lies. The kids were there so they know what really happened AND they are staying with the Hulk so that should give people a clue as to who is lying. She spent his money like it was water pouring out of a faucet and he spoiled her by giving her everything she wanted, i.e., a restaurant, cars, boats, jewelry, even a house she bought without his knowledge. He may not be an angel, but she is pure evil and Hogan will be exonerated fully at the trial. Glad he finally did something to stop her vicious attacks on him. She should leave him alone - he's finally happy with a really good woman - something she never was as she sat around all day doing nothing. Hope he cleans her clock big time.
