Jaime King's Star-Studded Baby Shower: Details from Her Star Wars Party
Jaime King's due date is getting closer! Friends and family of the Hart of Dixie star celebrated the star's baby shower with a brunch at Soho House in West Hollywood on Saturday, Aug. 17, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
King, 34, wore a colorful pink dress and her blonde hair down for the party thrown by friends. Guests included Selma Blair, Jessica Alba, Jared Eng, Claudia Lee, Ashley Madekwe and her husband Iddo Goldberg, and fellow expectant parents Teresa Palmer and fiance Mark Webber. Her Hart of Dixie co-stars Rachel Bilson and Wilson Bethel also joined.
King and her husband of six years Kyle Newman, 37, noshed on a Star Wars-themed cake for dessert, the source adds. George Lucas' space epic holds special meaning to the couple, who worked on Newman's 2009 adventure comedy Fanboys together. The director is also involved in the Star Wars community and the blonde beauty worked on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series from 2009 to 2012.
The elaborate cake looked like a planet with baby clothespins added as decoration. On top were miniature replicas of the soon-to-be parents with King as Princess Leia pointing a laser toward a newborn. "Best baby shower cake ever! Congratulations to @jaime_king and @kyle_newman! #maytheforcebewithyou," former Revenge star Madekwe tweeted.
The couple first announced they were expecting in May. "Getting ready for another baby to be squeezed into this picture," King tweeted, with an adorable family photo of the couple and their two dogs.
