Jenny McCarthy and Drew Carey are standing up for what's right. After a mother in Bay Village, Ohio, alerted police about a cell phone video of high schoolers dousing her autistic teenaged son with feces and urine during a cruel ALS Ice Bucket Challenge prank, both celebs are offering up monetary rewards to apprehend the alleged pranksters.
"WTF? Just saw this. Horrendous. These kids should be arrested and expelled," The Price is Right host Carey tweeted, after seeing the alleged video on social media. "If the Bay Village PD wants to start a reward fund to find who did this, contact me. I'll donate $10k," Carey added.
Offering their support as well is former The View co-host Jenny McCarthy and her new husband Donnie Wahlberg.
"I'm joining Drew Carey's 10K Reward to Find Perpetrators Behind Horrible ALS Bucket Prank. Now it's 20k! #justice," the SiriusXM radio host, whose 12-year-old son Evan is autistic, tweeted. "If this 'sh–ty' prank was real… Then I am joining @JennyMcCarthy and @DrewFromTV and offering another $10K to the reward! That makes 30K!" Wahlberg added.
According to CBS New affiliate WOIO, police are investigating the incident. Bay Village Schools superintendent Clint Keener said in a statement to students and parents that no disciplinary action will be taken until after police have completed their investigation.
"It hurts us deeply to see such a wonderful effort twisted to deliberately cause someone pain," Keener said.
