Last week, the “Bang Bang” singer, whose massive collab with Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande has just been nominated for a Grammy (for Best Pop Group Performance), visited The Graham Norton Show, where she revealed a hidden talent: She can sing (and still sound totally intelligible) with her mouth closed.
“Well, when I was younger, I used to do auditions all the time, and I was asked what I can do. And I discovered, when I was little, that I could pretend I was in a box,” the British singer told Graham, then laughed, explaining, “I was a lonely child!”
The pop songstress, 26, said that soon after, she discovered she could also do the “trapped in a box” trick while belting out her favorite tunes. The British TV host asked her to demonstrate with a “boxed” rendition of “Bang Bang.” The rest can only be truly appreciated by watching the video above. Enjoy!
