JJ Watt Lost His Cool Meeting Celebrity Crush Jennifer Aniston: “I Probably Blacked Out the Entire Time”

JJ Watt describes to Us Weekly what it was like meeting his longtime crush Jennifer Aniston this week: "I'm not going to lie," he says, "I probably blacked out for the entire time"

Made. His. Life! NFL star JJ Watt described to Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 14, how he completely lost his cool while meeting his lifelong celebrity crush, Jennifer Aniston, at their talent agency this week.

"It was incredible," the Houston Texans defensive end gushed to Us at the Gatorade Athlete of the Year Awards at the L.A. Hotel Downtown. "She was so sweet. She was awesome. Everybody has kind of known for a long time that she was the one person that I’ve wanted to meet… And she was really sweet and awesome and I’m thankful that she was so cool because I was not."

Albeit, there are some things he would do differently. "If I went back – if there was like a tape of it and I could watch it again, there are many things that I would do differently," he told Us. "But no, I shook her hand and we had a conversation, so I don’t think that I completely botched it. But she was very sweet and I had a good time."

Watt has some trouble recollecting what exactly was said, though. The NFL star told Us that the two spent a few minutes together ("just a little conversation, got a photo") during their chance encounter.

"I’m not going to lie," he said. "I probably blacked out for the entire time…. It just so happened that we were in the same building at the same time, complete coincidence and so we met up then. We were at CAA, which is both of our agencies, so we met up there and it was awesome."

Watt, 26, an avid Friends fan, said he hyperventilated a little. "I basically needed somebody to say, 'Breathe. Keep breathing,'" he shared. "She was beautiful. Yeah. She’s beautiful. She was sweet. She was nice. It was great… I mean Rachel Green? I’m a big fan. So she’s awesome!"

Aniston, 46, is also aware of his fandom. "I told her. I told her that we’d been trying to make it happen for a while and I think they knew," he told Us. "They told her that we’d been trying to make it happen. I’m sure she gets that all the time so it’s probably nothing new."

The 6-foot-5 athlete later posted a photo with Aniston via social media. "I'm not even going to try to pretend like I acted cool when this happened," he wrote on Facebook on Monday. "#LifeMade."

During the actual awards show, Watt told the audience: "I'm surprised I am here, because I was going to cancel all activities going forward because I met Jennifer Aniston yesterday. Everybody has always asked me my whole career because I meet a lot of people 'Who do you really want to meet next?' I always said, 'The one person I think it would be cool to meet is Jennifer Aniston.'"
