John Legend Is ‘Concerned’ for Friend Kanye West After Hospitalization

A friend who cares! Hours after Kanye West was admitted to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles for exhaustion, fellow musician John Legend shared concern for his friend.

In a Tuesday November 22, interview with CBS This Morning, the “All of Me” singer said, “[Chrissy Teigen and I] were with Kim [Kardashian] actually, right before all of that. I was concerned with what I saw, so hopefully he is getting some rest and some time to figure things out.”

The Grammy winner, 37, and West, 39, first met in 2001 when they were both struggling musicians living in New York City. Now, their wives are just as close. Last week, Teigen told Access Hollywood she would be Kardashian’s surrogate. “I really enjoyed the pregnancy process,” the model, 30, said. “I loved it. Yes, in a heartbeat!”’

West’s hospitalization comes after days full of bizarre behavior. This past Saturday, November 19, he interrupted his Sacramento, California, show with a 15-minute-long rant mentioning Beyoncé, his “Watch the Throne” collaborator Jay Z, Hillary Clinton and other stars. The day before, on November 18, in San Jose, California, West praised Donald Trump’s “method of communication.” And throughout the weekend, West posted around 100 photos to his Instagram account. Consequently, the remaining leg of his Saint Pablo tour, which included 21 upcoming concerts, was canceled.

A source close to the “Famous” rapper tells Us his busy schedule took a serious toll on him. “He’s just exhausted. He’s been working around the clock on fashion design, both his line and the Adidas line,” the source said. “He’s a notorious workaholic.”

Us Weekly previously reported that Kardashian was set to make her first public appearance since the Paris robbery at NYC’s Angel Ball, but the mom of North, 3, and Saint, 11 months, was a no-show, returning to L.A. to be by West’s side. Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian still attended the charity event, which honored their late father and ex-husband, Robert Kardashian, who died of cancer in 2003.
