The news comes after season 18 Bachelor winner Ferrell unfollowed Galavis on Twitter and Facebook Sunday, Oct. 26, while sharing a rather cryptic and telling quote on her Instagram page.

"Isn't it pathetic how we waste so much time on certain people and in the end they prove that they weren't even worth a second of it," Ferrell, 27, shared on her account, alongside the caption: "Nope not one single second."

One source tell Us that the split was not mutual and that Ferrell broke up with her beau.

Galavis, 33, meanwhile, unfollowed then followed then unfollowed Ferrell multiple times from Sunday into Monday morning. The controversial polarizing former Bachelor also posted a cryptic update Sunday morning to his Twitter page.

Their relationship did not come without struggle. Ferrell was the last-standing contestant on the former pro soccer player's buzzed-about season, which aired on ABC in early 2014. During the After the Final Rose special in March, Galavis incited outrage after he refused to profess his love to Ferrell, simply telling the pediatric nurse: "I like you," even after she told him she loved him.

The two later sought the help of Dr. Jenn Berman on VH1's Couples Therapy, though it seemed as if Galavis was still struggling to say the magic words to his girlfriend. As witnessed on the Oct. 8 episode, Ferrell broke down into tears, lamenting to the professional counselor: "I feel like why give someone 100 percent, if they're not giving you 100 percent?"

Back in March, Ferrell foreshadowed her split, saying they were taking things step by step for now. "I just feel like, time will tell," she told host Chris Harrison on the special. "this is a real relationship to us."
