Thank yeezus. Kanye West can rest easy now as the LAPD dropped charges against the rapper on Friday, Jan. 31, stemming from an alleged assault that occurred last month, the Associated Press reports.

As previously reported, West, 36, got into an altercation with an 18-year-old man at a Beverly Hills office on Jan. 13. After the man allegedly yelled racial slurs at his fiancee Kim Kardashian, West followed the man into a chiropractor's office and punched him in the arm.

The man and Kardashian, 33, first came into contact when the reality star overheard him shouting derogatory remarks toward paparazzi outside. "You really shouldn't use racial slurs like that," she said. The man replied that she was a "n****r lover."

Luckily, West -- the father to her 7-month-old daughter North West -- quickly came to her aid. Kardashian was "terrified," a source close to the reality star told Us.
