Kevin Hart looks out for his fans, which includes making sure they stay gainfully employed.

Earlier this week, a driver for National Car Rental abandoned her shuttle bus (with passengers on it!) to take a selfie with the star. In a video, Genesha Bradley can be clearly seen in her uniform posing for the friendly snapshot while Kevin declares, "She left the bus!" In hindsight, maybe that wasn't the best thing for him to be saying – because shortly after, the driver was suspended without pay.

"My passenger got off too. He took his selfie first," she argued in the video obtained by TMZ. She went on to explain that she had only four passengers on board who were all part of the same family, and that no one was upset that she had left. (By her account, it was the one man in the group who hopped out for his own snap with the star.) Once the video of Kevin and Genesha posted, however, her employer was none too pleased that she got out of her vehicle. "I do regret it," she admitted, revealing that she is currently on suspension, "pending investigation."

Hart is hoping to avoid all that, however, and he took to Instagram to share a personal video plea to save Genesha's job. Clad in a sporty red tank top and standing in front of what looks like a pretty sweet set of wheels, the Wedding Ringer actor wasted no time getting to the point of his message.

"Hey, this message is for National Car Rental. It has come to my attention that Genesha Douglas has been suspended for taking a selfie with me," he began. (Okay, so he didn't get her last name right, but we'll let it slide.) "I'm asking National to please give this woman a pass." He made nice by insisting, "I love National!"

He then argued that her actions were completely understandable. "If I had seen me, I would have taken a selfie with me too," the comedian stated before adding, "Come on! Have some compassion!" But he wasn't done just yet. Next to his funny (but persuasive!) video, the Think Like a Man star wrote, "I'm asking 'National Car Rental' to please give Ganesha Douglas a pass. She has learned from her mistake. She nor I intended for this to happen. #LoveMyFans."

And this, precisely, is why they love him back – even though Genesha did concede that, in hindsight, the selfie wasn't worth it. "To get suspended or possibly terminated – no," she sighed.

As of now, National Car Rental has yet to publicly respond to Hart's plea. But while there's no word yet on whether Kevin's attempt to get the driver back on the payroll will succeed, Hart certainly gets an 'A' for effort.
