Surprise, surprise! Kimberly Perry and Texas Rangers catcher J.P. Arencibia are officially married, Us Weekly has confirmed. The couple recently said "I do" at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, Tenn.
Us confirmed last October that The Band Perry singer, 30, and Arencibia got engaged. According to the Tennessean, the ball player made his now wife's dream come true when he popped the question at her parents' home under a large oak tree.
Before the sweet moment, 28-year-old Arencibia first asked Perry to go to her room, where she found a letter and bracelet from her family.
"I got to read the letter and get dressed and put on my grandfather's bracelet," the new bride told the Tennessean. "I came back out on the front porch and he was standing there and he got down on one knee. It was perfect."
"I've never felt that with anyone before," she added of her longtime love. "He's just a really gentle soul. He balances me for sure."
The newlyweds first met backstage at a meet-and-greet for Perry's band at the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Fla. in February 2012, where Arencibia then asked for Perry's number. Perry was most recently photographed at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville on June 4, and appeared to be wearing just her engagement ring.
