Blushing bride-to-be! As Us Weekly previously reported, Lady Gaga announced on Monday, Feb. 16, that she and her longtime love Taylor Kinney are engaged.
The “Applause” singer, 28, took to Instagram to share a shot of the stunning heart-shaped diamond engagement ring that Kinney, 33, presented when he popped the question. “He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!” Gaga captioned the sweet photo of her ring-adorned finger in Kinney’s hand.
The announcement prompted an outpouring of well-wishes from big-name stars, including none other than fellow pop star Britney Spears, who tweeted her congratulations to the eccentric entertainer on Monday.
“SO SO SO happy for you! That ring… Congrats Gaga!!!” Spears wrote, adding love-filled and diamond ring emojis.
The celebrated performer jetted off from New York City on Tuesday, Feb. 17, after her happy news broke.
Spotted at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Gaga covered her sparkling rock in an oversized two-tone wool coat. Worn over a pair of printed blue pants, the gray-and-white number featured long sleeves that covered much of the pop star’s hands.
Chicago Fire star Kinney has been dating Mother Monster, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, since 2011. “He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other’s weirdness,” Gaga told Ellen DeGeneres in 2013 “At the end of the day he’s my best friend. And having your lover be your best friend, I mean, it’s the best thing ever. It’s the best thing I can say about it.”
