The 48-year-old actress was invited by NBC to attend the Olympic Games and act as a special correspondent earlier this week after showing extreme fervor for Team USA. And on Thursday, Jones did not disappoint.

“OK this crazy y’all it’s taking forever to get to event cause everything is spread out. But that will not stop me,” Jones tweeted as she finally arrived at the main arena.

The Olympic superfan then got down to business capturing and recapping Simone Biles‘ and Aly Raisman’s performances.

“She’s No. 1 on the balance beam, baby. Let’s go, Aly! Let’s go, Aly!” Jones can be heard yelling as Raisman prepares for her balance beam event. “Team USA!”

Later, as both Biles, 19, and Raisman, 22, warmed up on the floor, Jones expressed her admiration. “Look at these girls warm up, man,” she says in one clip as the duo flip and twist over the floor. “I wish I knew how to do all that, man. I can’t believe I’m sitting here on the gymnastics row, son! It’s crazy!”

Perhaps the best moment of the night happened after Biles and Raisman took home their gold and silver medals, respectively. Jones managed to find her way backstage to the girls’ dressing room to meet the gymnasts in person, and the actress was so excited she had to take the same photo twice — and then post a video of the photo being taken.

“Wait I posted the wrong one!” she captioned the second shot, after accidentally cropping herself out of the first image.

“I can’t believe my life!!” she captioned the video.
