Talking with the twins! Khloé Kardashian‘s best friend, Malika Haqq, and her twin sister, Khadijah Haqq, caught up with Us Weekly on Tuesday, May 17, and shared the latest details about KoKo and Rob Kardashian, who recently made amends. Their feud dates back to February, when Rob started dating his now-pregnant fiancée, Blac Chyna.
The twins, 33, opened up to Us about Rob and Khloé’s tense relationship while attending the Beverly Hills Bar Association Entertainment Lawyer of the Year Dinner in support of their lawyer Darrell Miller. “They seem to be fine to me, from what I know,” Malika told Us, while her sister chimed in: “They are brother and sister.”
“You never know,” Malika continued. “At the end of the day, they will always be brother and sister and they will always have some sort of quarrel and some beef. But you bury it and you keep it moving. … Take a break. Go to neutral corners, do whatever you gotta do, but you come back together.”
Khadijah added: “They are family and their family always figures it out. But there is no other way. You figure it out. It’s family.”
Season 12 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians details Rob and Khloé’s intense falling-out. Khloé took Rob under her wing and allowed him to live in her home for several years, until she kicked him out this past February after learning about his controversial new romance. Chyna shares a 3-year-old son, King Cairo, with Kylie Jenner‘s ex-boyfriend Tyga, and the family tree is rather twisted.
The Haqq twins also reacted to the shocking news of Chyna’s pregnancy, which her rep confirmed last month to Us Weekly. “A baby is such a blessing! It’s the biggest,” Malika told Us of Rob expecting his first child.
Khadijah was slightly more candid with Us and said of Blac Chyna: “I wouldn’t say I’m a fan. I would just say that I love Rob. I’ve known him since he was a little boy, and to see him becoming a husband and a father, I know what that’s like now. Not to be a husband, but I’m a wife and a mother now. I just look forward to his growth and his experience. And who he chooses to love, that’s his business.” (Khadijah is married to Bobby McCray and has one son, Christian.)
The girls acknowledged that it appears Blac Chyna, 28, is doing wonders for Rob and his self-confidence. “Seems like it! If he says so, then that’s all that matters,” Khadijah told Us, while Malika added: “Then we gotta go with that right now! That’s all that matters.”
Meanwhile, the girls previewed a few upcoming projects of their own. “We’re working on producing a couple of things for ourselves, which Darrell is negotiating at the moment,” Malika said Tuesday. “Not tonight, I can tell, but at some point later on this week. We’re just trying to stay active in a space where we are producing the types of roles and things that we want to do. And that’s back in the scripted space. We really want to get back to acting. So that’s been our immediate focus.”
They’ll still do reality TV, though. “We’re not leaving,” Khadijah said. “We’re not closing any doors, we’re just opening new windows.”
