Moving Vans Spotted Outside Russell Brand, Katy Perry's Home

Moving vans were spotted Wednesday outside Russell Brand and Katy Perry's L.A. home. The duo, who announced their split Dec. 30, purchased the massive, seven bedroom three-story home for $6.5 million in June.

So what led to the end of Brand and Perry's 14-month marriage? A source tells the new Us Weekly, on stands Friday, that Brand, 36, blindsided Perry, 27, when he filed for divorce without consulting her. "The plan was for Katy and Russell to have the holidays apart, then see if they wanted to go through with a separation," says a source.

"Sadly, Katy and I are ending out marriage," Brand said in a statement. "I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends."

Katy Perry and Russell Brand are both amazing people and are both going through enough right now without the whole world judging them and their marriage. They had alot of great times together and now its over. It happens to the best of us. Leave them alone.

There are always two sides; takes 2 to make it and 2 to break it. Will say that US is plumbing the depths with the tacky Us cover headline. If you ask me, Katy Perry appears to be pretty crazy herself so why purposely try to skew fault toward Brand when no one but them will ever know? Quite honestly, I agree that they were a mis-match from Day 1. Brand has lived a lot more REAL life and seems infinitely more grounded than Perry. But Katy knew his bio when she married him so if there were actual "shocking" discoveries made she was forewarned. Brand has gone on record quite truthfully about his past demons.

There has to be SO much more to this story...we are only privy to bits and pieces of the lives of these people. I am sure that this was brewing for awhile. Marriages and divorces in Hollywood are SO different than conventional, mainstream ones...there is an inordinate amount of work, dedication and trust that HAS to be brought to the table in order for it to succeed and I think that many of these stars just want SOMEONE to lean on, to call their own, and harbor HUGE amounts of insecurity and jump in to the fire, devil may care. It's honestly sad, if you think about it. I feel bad for the both of them and hope they find peace, one day, some day with someone.

Why is this news? They already confirmed their divorce so moving vans outside of the house shouldn't be a surprise.
I really think these people need to go through marriage counseling before getting a divorce so stupid just to throw everything away with out even giving it a chance.
