Nick Cannon is in recovery.
The 31-year-old America's Got Talent host and Up All Night actor was hospitalized in Aspen, Colorado for "mild kidney failure" on Wednesday. After being transferred to a hospital in L.A., Cannon underwent surgery Friday morning.
"Nick was released over the weekend to be with his family," Cannon's rep tells Us Weekly in a statement. "He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers."
Mariah Carey's husband is expected to return to his morning radio show, Rollin' With Nick Cannon, on January 17.
"Nick is getting better," the 41-year-old singer and mother of two tweeted Sunday. "We love and appreciate all the ongoing kind words."
