Teen Mom's Amber Portwood just dodged a big bullet.
Weeks after striking a plea deal with Indiana prosecutors in connection with a December drug possession arrest, TMZ.com reports Portwood has been sent to rehab instead of jail.
If she successfully completes the court-mandated treatment program, Portwood will totally avoid a five-year prison sentence. But if the MTV star-- who appeared in court Monday wearing a striped orange jumpsuit, handcuffs and shackles -- makes one false move while in rehab, she'll immediately be put behind bars.
TMZ reports the mom to 3-year-old Leah will remain in police custody for up to two weeks while she awaits a full evaluation by the Drug Court team. She'll be released once she is accepted into the rehabilitation program.
Portwood previously completed a rehab stint at Seasons Recovery Center in Malibu, Calif. shortly after her June 2011 suicide attempt.
