Pippa Middleton has reclaimed her title as Britain's most eligible bachelorette.
The 28-year-old British socialite has broken things off with her on-off beau Alex Loudon, several sources confirm to Us Weekly.
"[They split up] three weeks ago," an insider says. "It's definitely over."
Adds a source close to Loudon's brother: "They are apart now, but Alex hopes they can still work things out."
Middleton first met Loudon, a 31-year-old cricketeer turned finance whiz, on a blind date set up by mutual pals. The couple of more than a year first split in June 2011, only to reunite weeks later.
According to The Sun, Middleton has been leaning on her sister, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, for comfort.
"Pippa tried to get over the split by spending last weekend with Wills and Kate at Balmoral," a source told the British newspaper. "She and Alex split briefly in the summer, but this time it's over. They are barely speaking."
Although Middleton has seemingly relished her newfound spotlight, Loudon's "life was turned upside down" after he joined her at the royal wedding on April 29.
"Pippa wants to travel and work abroad," a Loudon pal told Us in June. "Alex's job doesn't exactly allow for long weekends abroad and nights out during the week."
