No engagement after all. Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson has called it quits with her longtime boyfriend, Blake Coward, a rep for the Robertson family confirms exclusively to Us Weekly. The couple dated for more than two years. Fans had speculated that the reality personality would be next to tie the knot after her brother, John Luke, got married this past June.
According to the insider, the season 19 Dancing With the Stars contestant broke up with Coward weeks ago.
The 18-year-old A&E star, whose parents are Duck Dynasty stars Willie and Korie Robertson, last shared a an Instagram photo of herself looking smitten with the Alabama Mustang’s high school quarterback on March 9.
“It’s a good morning when you wake up, and have a FaceTime date with your handsome boyfriend and get to watch a @stevenfurtick sermon together before even getting out of bed 😊❤️ 3.9.16,” Robertson captioned a screenshot of them FaceTiming on Instagram.
During a 2015 interview with the Boston Herald, the Live Original author revealed that her grandfather, Phil Robertson, laid down the law with Coward when they first started dating.
“The first time, the only thing he said to Blake all day was, ‘You hurt her, I’ll hurt you. I’m watching you like a hawk, and I’ll break your legs if you do anything to her.’ Blake was like, ‘Yes, sir, all right!’ But my dad loves him, the whole family loves him. We’ve been dating for 10 months now, so he’s like a part of the family,” she said. "We’re always together. When I’m in Louisiana, it’s a seven-hour drive away, and when I’m in L.A., it’s more like 32 hours. Basically, we’re best friends. He’s a great guy who really has a heart searching for God. He’s not perfect but he strives to be, and that’s all I can ask for.”
