Sing it! Rapper T-Pain may be known for using auto-tune in chart-topping songs such as “Buy You a Drank” and “5 O’Clock,” but he certainly didn’t need the pitch-correction tool when he sang the National Anthem at the Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants’ game in Los Angeles on Monday, Aug. 31.
The Grammy-winning star, dressed in a Dodgers jersey, showcased his naturally beautiful voice before the first pitch. The video of his performance has since gone viral, and fans are surprised by the 30-year-old’s amazing voice.

And though he floored folks with his powerful vocals, it sounds like he didn’t prep too much. The rapper told USA Today on Sunday at the MTV VMAs that he was ready to have fun that night instead.
“I’m worried about going too hard tonight and then being able to wake up to do the National Anthem, so yeah, that’s what I’m worried about. There’s gonna be a lot of partying happening!” he admitted to the news site.
When asked what his plan was for the day of his big performance at Dodgers Stadium, T-Pain replied, “That’s the problem, I don’t have one! Just wake me up, I take a shower, I go out the door.”
And apparently, the final step was to just let his natural talent shine.
