T.Hanks, Tom!

Tom Hanks really likes his samoas! The Oscar winner surprised three hardworking Girl Scouts when he stopped to buy some cookies in downtown Los Altos in the San Francisco Bay Area on Feb. 28.

According to the Los Altos Town Crier, the Inferno actor was on his way to visit a typewriter shop — Hanks is an avid collector — with his 19-year-old son Truman. He pulled over, bought four boxes of cookies, donated an extra $20 — and even stayed to help sell more!

"I'm still on cloud nine," said Archana Appanna, whose daughter was one of the lucky Girl Scouts. "We did not know who he was [at first] because he covered his face with a baseball cap and glasses."

Hanks, 58, confirmed who he was, and stayed to take photos as well. When another customer asked to take a pic with him, he quipped: "Only if you buy cookies from these young ladies."

The Captain Phillips star's generosity made their day. "He was so personable," Appanna said. "So down to earth."
