Exclusive: Topless Katherine Heigl Cuddles Dog for "I Hate Balls" PSA

Katherine Heigl really hates balls.
Not tennis balls, not yoga balls, but the kind of balls that belong to members of the male persuasion.
In a PSA for the just-launched site IHateBalls.com, the 33-year-old actress jokes that the real reason she's such a proponent for spaying and neutering animals isn't that she's an animal lover, it's that she "hates testicles!"

She also shared an exclusive, behind the scenes photo with Us Weekly; in the shot, the topless actress wears nothing but panties and a smile as she cuddles an adorable puppy.
"Unfortunately I can't cut the nuts off human men -- yet," she quips in the video. "So I've dedicated my time to the neutering of dogs because that's legal."

The real reason behind the New Year's Eve star's hilarious video? She partnered with Funny or Die on behalf of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, named for her late brother who passed away at age 15 in 1986, to raise awareness for and support pet spay-neuter programs.
A known animal lover, Heigl explains in the clip why she is pro neutering of pets, and encourages a call to action to IHateBalls.com to text, donate and buy "I Hate Balls" gear. The funds raised will benefit the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, which seeks to eliminate the needless suffering inflicted on animals by human cruelty, indifference and ignorance.

64This video is appalling. She entwines animal and human castration so often the stated humane purpose of the video is obfuscated. I am amused at the women who find testicles ugly. Does this not impact a boys self image as adversely as society pressures girls? The applause she receives from audiences for merely mentioning the title of the video reveals an ugly primal need to hate males, a realization the producers of the video knew existed and the writers put into words. I await her sequel to animal neutering in which the female is spayed, but that just wouldn't be so amusing. This video is beyond offensive, and heigl could have used her celebrity status to produce an edgy video as opposed to a hateful video.
I suppose this "I Hate Balls" campaign gets attention, however, it seems like a feminist rant of hating men, like it came right out of a covert Zionist ad agency ran by US intel to get women to hate men to divide our society and reduce our population from lack of marriages.

Katherine , I would like to thank you for taking time and money to help animals who cannot help themselves and also congratulate you for doing so in a humorous and creative way. Regardless of whether you liked it or hated it, you have to admit, Katherine Heigl's clip grabs your attention! She got a donation out of me! And I have to agree with her...balls ARE kinda icky!
@Marcia Brian Siehr: Heigal's foundation pays for a ton of spay/ neuter surgeries in low income areas & she donates a lot of funds to animal rescue organizations. She is one of the good guys. This campaign is on Funny Or Die. It's tongue in cheek. She doesn't really hate balls. @Lucas Sawyer I bet your feminist mothers would be proud of your calling Ms. Heigal a "bimbo".
As far as pet dogs go, the proper solution is NOT cutting out parts of their bodies. The problem boils down to the irresponsible OWNERS who let their pets loose in the first place. The poor animals not only procreate but get hit by cars, get killed or maimed by wild animals, get stolen, etc, etc.

As a co-founder of a dog rescue in Los Angeles (where Katherine H lives), I can tell you first hand that she and her mom and their foundation created in memory of her brother does things for spay and neuter that no one else in my rescue time has. This ad campaign is tongue in cheek funny, and, yes I do believe many men won't adore it (the men at work can barely handle it when I announce that I "need to leave a little early to pick up my foster dog from his neuter surgery."). Katherine and her foundation COME UP WITH IDEAS THAT ARE WORKING. I know, because they are here in now -- when you go to many shelters in Los Angeles and adopt a dog, upon checkout, they often will tell you "Your spay and neuter today is being paid for by the Heigel Foundation." I don't know about other rescues, but I personally am so grateful for her work for animals. Spay and neuter is about all we can do to cutdown the needless euthanization of millions of domestic pets each year. Do you people not get that this is from a Funny or Die "commercial"? The main message is "Get your animals spayed or neutered," but this puts a hilarious (to those with that darker sense of humor) spin on it. If you don't 'get' that kind of humor, that's your problem, but stop slinging crap at Katherine Heigl for being brash and unapologetic and just plain fabulous. She loves animals, hates animal cruelty, and if this calls attention to the fact that we need to get our animals fixed to control the population and stop needless death, then GOOD FOR HER. Personally, I think she's an underrated actress who gets shunned for not keeping her mouth shut like good little girls are "supposed" to do, and that's even more disgusting than balls.
