Not the kind of experience she was looking for! On Sunday, April 5, Tori Spelling and her family celebrated Easter with a trip to their local Benihana restaurant, indulging in the chain's signature teppanyaki delicacies.
Unfortunately for the reality star, 41, her festive meal took a painful turn when she tripped and fell onto the hibachi grill, according to multiple outlets, as first reported by The Daily Mail. Spelling's husband Dean McDermott confirmed to the New York Daily News that his wife burned her arm on the steaming grill and required medical care to treat the burns.
"It was an unfortunate accident," the troubled star, 48, told the newspaper. "She had a little burn... She had to get skin grafts." Asked by the Daily News if the couple would be pressing charges against Benihana, McDermott answered, "I don’t know."
Spelling, who has yet to comment on the incident, shared a photo from the brunch on the same day. In a happier moment, she snuggled with her friends Scout Masterson and Bill Horn's son at the table, posing for a sweet photo with the tot.
"At #Easter lunch with my amazing family and extended family," she captioned the shot. "Loving on my precious nephew Boz! @imdeanmcdermott @scoutmasterson @thebillhorn @sethchernoff #TheFamilyYouChooseToCreateIsEverything."
Hours earlier, she posted a beautiful shot with her family, standing in her Easter best alongside her four children: son Liam, 8, daughter Stella, 6, daughter Hattie, 3, and and son Finn, 2.
The True Tori star didn't let the scary accident ruin her holiday, however, as she went on to gush about the day even after the burn. Sharing a photo with McDermott and Masterson, she wrote, "Thanks for an amazing day @scoutmasterson and @thebillhorn Perfect #Easter Sunday! Aside from the Benihana Burn!"
