Cue the awws! Wladimir Klitschko is one proud dad and fiancé. The hulking boxing pro gushed to Us Weekly at a press conference ahead of his fight with Bryant Jennings in New York City on Wednesday, Feb. 4 about his newborn daughter Kaya and how wonderful a mom fiancée Hayden Panettiere is.

“It changed my life completely,” the world heavyweight champion told Us of becoming a father this past December. “I’m so happy to have Hayden in my life. She’s the best mom I could even imagine. She’s a true, amazing mom.”

While their little girl is a mere 3 months old, Klitschko says mom, dad, and baby have forged a bond that’s undeniable.

“She can communicate with her eyes and smile,” he gushed. “Even if you’re tired and haven’t slept enough, when you look at your child’s eyes, [it’s like], ‘For you, little angel, I’m going to do everything! Literally everything.’ I don’t know what appreciation she’s expressing but it’s something like, 'Thank you for being here in my life, Dad, and being around.’ It’s something that gives you a boost of energy,” he added, with a big smile.

And now that they have Kaya in their lives, the 6-foot-6 Ukrainian fighter said marriage is the next step, but there’s truly nothing better than being parents.

“Now is for now — when people get married there are different things they promise to each other and I understand the promising part, but I think [having] children is something that connects you until the end of your days no matter what,” the brawler explained. “And I think that, Kaya, our daughter, has connected us forever. And that’s the most amazing thing. Everything else is coming, it’s something that needs to be planned…but as I said, the connection with the child is better than any marriage!”

Panettiere, 25, and Klitschko, 38, first stepped out together in 2009. The couple, who got engaged in March 2013, briefly split in 2011 before rekindling their romance in the spring of 2013.
