World Champion professional wrestler and fitness guru Diamond Dallas Page, 59, may be best known for his success inside the wrestling ring, however now he has a new ring to cherish — a wedding ring!
The WWE legend, widely known as “DDP,” married his longtime girlfriend, Brenda Nair, 51, in Cancun, Mexico, on July 25, and Us Weekly has the exclusive details on the couple’s dream destination wedding.
The wedding ceremony and reception took place right on the beach at Azul Fives in the Rivera Maya. The champagne-colored reception table linens were accented with shades of aqua blue glassware that perfectly matched the beach theme, and guests were welcomed to the affair by a hand-written message placed on an easel at the entrance that read: “A true spiritual marriage is an act of metamorphosis, a profound mystery of creation and rebirth as two become one.”
Nair stunned in a strapless mermaid-style gown designed by Madison James Collection for Allure Bridals. The gown’s bodice is embellished with floral embroidery that blends into the delicate English net skirt showcasing a beaded illusion back. Nair’s daughter Lexy, an L.A.-based makeup artist, did the bride’s hair and makeup for the big day.
The groom, wearing a Natural Linen Lined Suit by Perry Ellis and shoes by J. Hilburn Custom Menswear, was escorted down the aisle by his two daughters, Brittany and Kimmi. Nair walked down the aisle with her daughters as well, Lexy and Rachel, who gave their mother away at the altar.
DDP’s life-long friend, motivational speaker, and executive coach Rick Kolster, presided over the wedding ceremony, and former WWE Intercontinental Professional Wrestling champ ‘Marvelous’ Marc Mero lead the blessing over the wedding meal during the beachside reception.
The pair first became engaged in August 2014 when Page took Nair by surprise when he proposed to her at her 50th birthday party surrounded by family and friends. “Who I am with Brenda is who I’ve always wanted to be… Me… She makes me want to be a better me. I love her madly,” Page tells Us.
