Whitney Houston (seen here in her senior yearbook photo from Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell, NJ) was born in Newark, NJ to a family of prominent soul and gospel singers, including mom Cissy Houston and her aunt Dionne Warwick. Before she was discovered by Clive Davis at age 20 in an NYC nightclub, she also found work as a model.

I AM SORRY THIS MIGHT SOUND A BIT JUDGEMENTAL, BUT THE TRUTH OUGHT TO BE SAID, YOU KNOW. WHY DO OUR CHILDREN WHO HEAR THE TRUTH IN GOD'S HOUSE STILL WANT TO RUB SHOULDERS WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD? GOD GAVE US TALENT TO WORSHIP HIM WITH OUR ENTIRE BODY BUT WE HEAR THE TRUTH AND GO OUT THERE TO GIVE IT ALL TO THE DEVIL. OUR BODY IS A TEMPLE OF WHERE GOD WANTS TO COME AND INDWELL IN US. THE FUN, FOUL LANGUAGE, PONOGRAPHY ETC, WE'LLL GIVE AN ACCOUNT AT THE END OF THE DAY. David Carter I liked what you wrote in regards to Whitney. She was God gifted and you use the best scriptures of what happen to christens after death. She was well deserving to be present with the Lord (II Corth.5:6-8 and 16). She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and loved her music.
she is a dynamic Diva with great potential in singing her career. It's really painful to miss her.

II Corinthians 5:8 (NET) 5:8 Thus we are full of courage and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. We will miss her and God bless her family. 1. These verses promise that the bodies of our Christian loved ones will be raised from the dead. 2. The Bible teaches the sleep of the body, not the sleep of the soul. 3. These verses teach us that those bodies of Christians that are sleeping in the graves will one day come forth--be resurrected when Christ comes back. In vs. 16 we see that the souls of the believers (who are now with Christ) will be reunited with their resurrected bodies at Jesus' coming for His church.

Jesus loves us all He is the God of many chances and just because someone has a problem (and who doesn't we all need to be better people) God loves us anyway that is why Jesus died for us so we like Whitney can be in heaven one day with him and just think when we get there we can sing with Whitney, but to conclude He even loves Bobby Brown so my prayers go out for him I believe he loved her and may God bless him and may he stay sober.....
I don't do funeral but I watch today it was the most beauiful thing i have every see, the funeral home did a good job it was very wel put togather, I feel it was wrong what they did to Bobby, they both was doing them that did not mean that he didn't love her. Sometimes being togather don't always work. and in there case they was better apart. I well miss and my heart go out the her daughter and her family. IThe best part was at the end when they play I will always love u, I cry, RIP.l
