Heard and Depp, who first met on the set of the 2011 film The Rum Diary, are notoriously quiet about their relationship. In January, an insider told Us the pair got engaged "a while ago" and Depp finally confirmed the news in March.

The model followed suit in her interview with W, touching lightly on her love. "I haven’t noticed any change in my career," she said of the months since her engagement. "And, for better or worse, I’ve always had a love life that seemed particularly salacious to some people."

"Before, it was also seen as unconventional," Heard, who is bisexual, added.

"I’m not one to talk about my personal life as I prefer to keep that as private as possible," she said in 2011, after her longtime relationship with artist Tasya van Ree. "There has been a lot of media attention surrounding my relationship. It’s been frustrating as I don’t label myself one way or another—I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love, it’s the person that matters."
