Thanks to her recent breast reduction, Ariel Winter says she has all the dress options in the world—and she can't wait to start experimenting! First up: The Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 20.
"[The Emmys] will be my first [public] appearance, but I don't know. I'm just excited to try on all the dresses!" Winter, 17, said in the September issue of Glamour. "Now I can wear all styles of dresses and all styles of things! I don't always have to pick the tightest, most formfitting dress I can find."
The petite actress, who also voices Princess Sofia in Disney's Sofia the First, believed that a loose frock was simply unflattering to her formerly voluptuous figure. "[Now,] I can pick something [other than a fitted dress] and still feel good about myself. I couldn't do that before. I'm excited to finally actually feel confident and not just appear confident," she shared.
But it's not just her red carpet wardrobe that she's thrilled to reinvigorate. She's also ready to play with her Modern Family threads—as long as they stay true to her bookworm character, Alex Dunphy. "We've gotten rid of some of the flannels, though I love me some flannels sometimes!" the actress said. "I don't really think her style is going to change that drastically, and I'm okay with that. As long as there is a variety in her wardrobe, I'm fine with it."
