Emily Deschanel hit the red carpet on Monday, Dec. 8, at the Bones 200th episode celebration party in Beverly Hills — her first official appearance she confirmed her second pregnancy earlier this month.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, the actress, who already has a 3-year-old son with husband David Hornsby, chose to show off her growing shape in a muted gray Lanvin dress covered in eye-catching gold sequins. The pregnant star topped off her flashy ensemble with a black tuxedo jacket by Max Mara and carried a black minaudière clutch bag.
So will Dr. Temperance Brennan, her character on Bones, be expecting as well? “Yes, I think it will be [written into the show],” Deschanel tells Us Weekly. “I’m not like a tiny pregnant person. I’m not going to be able to hide it behind something small; it’ll be easier to not hide it.”
As for the sex of Brennan’s new addition, Deschanel says it’s still a mystery — like a lot things on the series. “I know that it’ll happen in the next couple of episodes we’re filming, but that’s it,” she told Us. “I don’t know if it’ll be a boy or a girl.”
