Frozen’s Queen Elsa Inspires Wedding Gown: See the Caped Disney Dress’ Debut at Bridal Fashion Week!

It’s finally here!

After teasing Frozen fans with a beautiful sketch via Instagram on Sept. 18, Disney and designer Alfred Angelo let it go: Angelo presented the real Queen Elsa-inspired wedding dress on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Bridal Fashion Week in New York City.

The “Elsa,” named after the Oscar-winning hit’s frosty royal heroine, is a flared sheath gown beaded from its sweetheart neckline down to just below its waist. There, the dramatic embellishments fade to single ornaments, meant to mimic freshly fallen snow. The dress also comes complete with a Watteau train, an extra piece of material that looks almost like a sheer cape—again a nod to the Snow Queen’s cartoon attire.

While the gown is pictured here in Elsa’s preferred ice blue, this dress—and all of Angelo’s Disney dresses, which this season also include a ruby “Snow White,” pale blue “Cinderella,” and purple “Jasmine”—also comes in traditional bridal ivory.

Disney Frozen Bridal Dress
Models flaunt the ice blue “Elsa” wedding gown and its complementary flower girl dress at Bridal Fashion Week 2015.

And the bride isn’t the only one who can be a Disney princess! Also available in the 2015 Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Bridal Collection is an adorable little blue flower girl dress, the unofficial Anna to complement the bride-to-be’s Elsa moment. The little girl’s frock comes in the same shade of ice blue as the “Elsa,” and boasts a tulle, tea-length skirt, semi-sheer straps, and a bejeweled bodice.

The complete 2015 Disney Bridal Collection will be available online and in stores Jan. 2015.
