Hadid sisters take the Met! Yolanda Foster‘s stunningly beautiful model daughters Gigi and Bella Hadid made their way through New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art 2015 Costume Institute Gala Monday, May 4, making their status as Hollywood’s newest It Girls known. Mingling with young Hollywood elite Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Hailey Baldwin, Karlie Kloss, and Zoe Kravitz, Gigi, 20, and Bella, 18, held their own working the carpet in Diane von Furstenberg and Topshop, respectively.
Attending the annual fashion fete — which carried the theme “China Through the Looking Glass” — Foster’s daughters drew praise from their mom for their ensembles. “My sugar and spice last night,” Foster wrote on Instagram of her daughters with ex Mohamed Hadid. She finished the post by attaching the hashtags #watchingfromafar and #proudmommy
Quickly becoming one of the most sought-after young runway models, Guess spokesmodel Gigi wore a custom DVF design for the big night. “I would be honored if Diane made a paper bag for me, let alone this beautiful piece!!! Thank you @DVF x @voguemagazine for making my first #MetGala experience the perfect one!,” she Instagrammed Monday before hitting the afterparties with Bella, who wore a black Topshop dress with gold detailing and cutouts.
Later, the girls joined the Jenners, Chrissy Teigen and Hailee Steinfeld for the Boom Boom Room’s after party. They were also spotted at Rihanna’s private bash, and took a huge group selfie (in the bathroom!) with Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson, Joan Smalls, Behati Prinsloo, Alexander Wang, Cara Delevigne, and others.
Included in the coveted 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Gigi Hadid was named by Vogue as one of the members of young Hollywood’s new “Brat Pack” earlier this year. The best part of getting to move up the modeling ranks, according to Gigi? Getting to do it with her BFF Kendall Jenner. Kendall feels the same.
“Gigi and I? We first met at Nobu Malibu,” Bruce Jenner‘s daughter told Vogue of her catwalk pal. “I knew her younger sister [Bella] better back then, but — flash-forward a while — Gigi and I both ended up modeling in New York a lot, so we started to get together and, of course, clicked right away.”
Another connection to the Kardashian-Jenner family? Gigi and Bella’s stepfather, David Foster, was previously married to Bruce Jenner’s second wife, Linda Thompson. Yolanda Foster and Kris Jenner are also longtime pals.
