It’s a gig a thousand girls would die for, and it’s Jennifer Lawrence’s turn next May!

In addition, the Costume Institute and Vogue announced this year’s exhibit name, which will also be the theme of the ball: “Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion.” In years past, the exhibit has been dedicated to a designer or a groundbreaking style, like 2011’s Alexander McQueen, 2013’s punk style, and 2014’s Charles James curations.

While 2015’s Asian theme may sound like an unexpected choice, the announcement of Lawrence as one of the gala’s co-chairs comes as no surprise. The Hunger Games star covered Vogue’s September 2013 issue, not to mention that she’s also one of the pretty faces of Christian Dior. Most importantly, the Hollywood sweetheart’s looks are extremely glam, as is befitting a Met Gala chair, thanks to the countless designers who clamor to dress her, including Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen and, of course, Dior.

SJP co-chaired the Met Gala last year with Lawrence’s frequent costar, Bradley Cooper, who she’ll be sharing the screen with again soon in the upcoming Serena.
