Jessica Biel wasn't ready to debut her engagement ring from Justin Timberlake at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills. But the just-engaged star seemed to have bridal couture on the brain when selecting her dress for the evening.

The New Year's Eve actress, 29, covered up in a lace white long sleeve gown by Elie Saab with pronounced shoulder pads and a diamond necklace and earrings by Tiffany & Co and Christian Louboutin shoes.

Her hubby-to-be Timberlake, 31 -- he proposed during a snowboarding vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming oin late December -- was M.I.A. at the awards show, where Biel presented a trophy with Mark Wahlberg.

Biel's first Hollywood bash since her top-secret engagement was at Friday's W magazine pre-Golden Globes fete at Chateau Marmont. "Jessica was absolutely glowing and radiant," an onlooker told Us Weekly. "I've never seen her look so happy!"

Jessica Biel is a rarity in Hollywood. She showed up a Lady to the Golden Globes. Truth be told, Kate Middleton, who I love, sometimes dresses a little dowdy herself, but like Jessica, class is NEVER out of style. Justin Timberlake could have any woman on the planet. He chose Jessica. Smart move. The mother of your children should be a lady.
I agree at a distance she looks amazing, but up close her hair looks wind blown and her eyes look like she's extremely tired. I still love her but just sayin.

I think that they are both into their same sex as Hollywood people and sports figures etc. all try to hard to hide IT. No wonder there's drinking and drugs all over the place they need it. That's where the stress comes in not so much their careers and I'm NOT trying to be funny.
Her dress was horrible. You could see what looked like "granny underpants" when she was on stage. What was she thinking?
Why wouldn't she wear her ring? Why wasn't he there? She looked uncomfortable in her dress. This wedding will never happen..He's a confirmed womanizer and will break her heart.
