Katie Holmes Gets Glam in Burgundy Dress and Purple Eyeliner at Tribeca Film Festival: See the Pictures
Bombshell in burgundy!
Fresh from celebrating daughter Suri's 8th birthday on Friday, April 18, Katie Holmes looked stunning on the red carpet for the premiere of Miss Meadows at the Tribeca Film Festival on Monday, April 21.
The film's star, 35, wore a burgundy duchess satin dress by Zac Posen. The folds at the hip highlighted her tiny waist while the off-the-shoulder style showed off her toned shoulders.

Holmes kept her shoulder-length hair casual with lots of texture but had a bit more fun with her makeup. The Dawson's Creek alum played up her hazel eyes with purple eyeliner on the top and bottom lash lines. The face of Bobbi Brown usually sticks to a neutral palette with her eye shadows so it's nice to see her show her more adventurous side. She finished her beauty look with a subtle berry stain lip color.
Holmes plays a tap-dancing preschool teacher-slash-vigilante in Miss Meadows, written and directed by Karen Leigh Hopkins. "What I love about this character is she’s a strong female character," Holmes told Us Weekly on the red carpet. "I think women are very strong. I gravitate towards seeing strong female characters and playing them."
