Chalk it up, modern art! Kim Kardashian stepped out with her husband Kanye West on Monday, Nov. 9, in L.A., carrying a splattered Hermes bag, which Us Weekly can confirm was painted by her daughter North West.
Kardashian, 34, previously told Us about the baby-decorated item last month at her birthday party in Las Vegas. "Kanye had a box [with an Hermes purse in it] and I opened it up and it was all painted really cool," she said of the customized luxury item. "And on my computer was this message that said 'Play,' and it was a video of my daughter sitting outside painting the purse."
As seen in the photo, the purse, a boxy brown and white satchel including a leather strap, includes yellow, blue, and green splotches dabbled throughout the canvas. Smack dab in the center of the purse is a blended orange handprint which presumably belongs to Kardahian's 16-month-old tot Nori.
The proud mom later Instagrammed a photo from her walk to her office on Monday evening. "Me & my bae out today," she wrote. "Wearing my favorite bag painted by my little North."
"I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse," Kardashian previously recalled to Us about opening her gift. "[But] it was my daughter. It was amazing."
Painted Hermes purses are a specialty in the Kardashian-West family. Last Christmas, West gifted his then-fiancee Kim with an Hermes Birkin bag that was painted by renowned artist George Condo. The reality star proudly stepped out with the customized purse, which featured a surrealist painting of nude figures, several days later.
