Did Angelina Jolie raid her Maleficent costume closet for her latest diplomatic mission?

The do-gooder actress, director and UNHCR Special Envoy, 37, appeared in Ankara, Turkey on Friday following a meeting with Turkish leaders -- including the deputy prime minister and the interior minister -- to discuss the ongoing crisis in Syria.

For the high-profile meeting, a fresh-faced Jolie wore a dramatic, loose-fitting black gown with extra long sleeves and a hem that went past her feet. The look unintentionally recalled the costume the Oscar-winner has been wearing as she shoots Maleficent -- about the villain in Sleeping Beauty -- outside London.

"It's a really great script, and I'm having a lot of fun. I've already got my horns fitted," Jolie told Entertainment Weekly of her titular role in March. "My kids are very happy."

And Jolie will be working with family on the flick: Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, her 4-year-old daughter with love Brad Pitt, will make her feature-film debut as the younger version of Elle Fanning's Princes Aurora.
