What would Carrie say?
Sarah Jessica Parker tried out farmer-chic on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on March 5 in fitted, cropped denim overalls, which she paired with Fawn high heels from her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker collection for Nordstrom.
Admittedly, Parker's Sex and the City character would probably embrace her denim duds (after all, she did wear a tutu around Manhattan), but we just can't get behind the fact that they're overalls.
And, yes, some celebs like Julianne Hough and Keira Knightley have embraced the comeback trend -- which arguably peaked in the late '80s and early '90s during the NKOTB era. But Parker, 48, wore hers on national television where we would've preferred a more chic dress to match her ladylike pumps. After all, this is almost the same look she wears when running around her New York City neighborhood.
Or when the trend was more, shall we say, in style.
While SJP's Blank NYC overalls are sold out, you can snag a similar style for $118 on blanknyc.com, if you're so inclined.
