Haters gonna hate, but we can't help it. Taylor Swift perfectly resembled Jon Heder's awkward figure skater character Jimmy MacElroy in the 2007 Will Ferrell comedy Blades of Glory at the 2014 MTV VMAs on Sunday, Aug. 24.
Showing off almost every inch of her ModelFIT-toned bod in a Mary Katrantzou blue playsuit with barely there bottoms, the "Shake It Off" singer made headlines with the daring onesie. The 24-year-old's look also featured a textured Alphabet print and black piping at the neckline. In fact, she managed to wear less clothing than Miley Cyrus.
Swift briefly changed into a Swarovski crystal-adorned, fringed crop top and shorts by Lorena Sarbu to perform her hit pop single "Shake If Off" onstage with tuxedo-clad men.
During the show, tweeters took note of the singer's comparison to Heder's character's figure skating ensemble. One tweet read: "Jimmy MacElroy wore it better in blades of glory than T-Swift did at the VMA's" while another summed up the night's fashion as, "So Iggys a chipotle burrito, katy and riff raff are JT and Britney back in the day, and TSwift is … in blades of glory."
