Some dreams do come true! Taylor Swift revealed to Us Weekly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in New York City on May 5 that it was “a daydream realized” to wear a custom Oscar de la Renta gown.
The 24-year-old looked more than sophisticated in a floor length blush satin-faced organza gown with matte gold sequins, pearl beads, silver-lined seed beads, rose gold metallic threadwork leaves, and organza petal embroidery. Swift paired the gown with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, Christian Louboutin shoes, and an Edie Parker clutch.
Swift admitted: “Oscar de la Renta is the designer I’ve idolized since I was a little girl,” adding, “Having an opportunity to wear a one-of-kind gown designed by him is a daydream realized.”
