Britney Spears doesn't like what's being said about her in the Australian press -- and it has nothing to do with her once-tumultuous personal life.
Currently touring in Australia, Spears, 27, has taken a beating by that country's media, who have lashed out at lip-synched portions, and her "boring," "stiff" and detached performances, reports Reuters. This has even provoked some audiences members to allegedly walk out just a few songs in, despite paying $200 to $1500 per ticket.

Such walkouts never happened, insisted Spears' tour promoter Paul Dainty to The Australian newspaper Monday. "Britney is aware of all this and she's extremely upset about it," Dainty added.
"She's a human being. I'm embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting."

Also coming to the pop star's defense is her manager Adam Leber, who took to Spears' Twitter account: "Its unfortunate that one journalist in Perth didn't enjoy the show last night. Fortunately the other 18,272 fans in attendance did. - Adam."
Will Britney's romance with Jason Trawick last?
But the lip-synching in the "Circus" concert -- which Spears et al acknowledged when the tour began in March -- has inspired a political debate. The Fair Trade Minister for the State of New South Wales, Virginia Judge, proposed that all concert tickets should feature disclaimers about segments of live shows that were pre-recorded or mimed.
Even John Mayer entered the fray to defend Spears, Tweeting Saturday: "If you're shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you."
