For those who attack her however, to try and justify their own sins is misguided and evil. Sin is Sin. Christians and non-christians sin.   This is an issue because it represent vile persecution of an American citizen for politely expressing a personal opinion. As I heard Bruce Springsteen state in a tribute to Pete Seger; "We are never far away from having someone try to suppress our rights". It goes back to John Adams (you know, fathers of Confederation stuff - why you have liberties today). Quotes by John Adams "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other". "Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide". The attempt to silence Carrie from expressing her opinion seems to support both statements.

  Don't throw stones if you live in a glass house. You don't think gay marriage should be legal? Fine, your opinion. Don't spout this B.S. about Satan tempting you and God telling you what to say right after having a boob job, some sex tapes, and participating in a contest that judges people on sex appeal. But by the way, people're quick to defend these videos, I thought Conservatives were out to get in EVERYONE's bedrooms!? You don't want people to have the same rights as you even though you all have trashed what you claim is 'traditional' marriage anyway (more than half of them end in divorce, losers), and yet her masturbating on camera is okay? That's sexual deviation there. If you aren't going to follow your own rules, you shouldn't impose them on others. THAT'S why this is funny, that's why I relish this. Because she ran off with a hate group that spends all of its money preventing gays from getting rights to visit their loved ones in hospitals, share insurance, so on and so forth, instead of fulfilling her obligations of the position, and then blamed her firing on the gays. She messed up. She lied about being qualified for the position in the first place. If you crusade against others to prevent them from having equal rights UNDER THE LAW then when your skeletons appear, you should be shown for the hypocrite you are. It'd be simpler if people just lived and let live, like Jesus says to do in the first place.

  why is this news and why does anyone care? I only clicked on this link to finally find out what all the fuss is about having seen her face plastered on every online "news" outlet for months now and I honestly had no idea why, and now that I see it's just another shallow attention-seeking freak show, to think that national attention is focused on this and not real issues that affect our lives directly says more about the American public than it does about this former beauty queen. Yeesh. Give it up people. Focus your obsessions on something more productive. Let this woman and her stupid sex scandal disappear into the cesspool they belong in and let's stop making like it's important national news or something. For goodness' sake we are turning into a nation of lazy publicity-obsessed morons. Go plant a tree or rescue a shelter dog instead.
