  Carrie was simply trying to wrap up the show. Taylor is very talented and the kids love her, but she is not that strong vocally. And how do you win entertainer of the year when you dont even headline your on concerts. She opens for ppl! That award should have went to Brad Paisley.

  Carrie & Brad were running out of time and Carrie was just tring to wrap up the show. I did notice that when I watched it that night but she wasn't tring to rain on Taylor's parade, she was just trying to wrap up the show.

If she meant anything by her statement, it was that Taylor won in spite of the tough competition that she received from people such as herself (Carrie.)   Carrie clapped what seemed like a sincere clap. Brad was going on and on about Taylor while the music was playing... and we all know that's the cue to move on. He did finish up his sentence with I can't imagine ... a better night. Hence he was done talking about Taylor. However, I am not sure if Carrie realized this or not. I choose to believer that Carrie just wanted to keep up with the teleprompter. I can't speak for her, but I know I'll ALWAYS wonder if Taylor won this award because of Kanye. If she had received the highest honor in her field before the VMAs I would have respected it more. Now, I just think it is the sympathy vote.

  Taylor Swift can't sing her way out of a paper sack. It is appalling all of the awards Swift has been winning recently. What is going on? Swift should not even be mentioned in the same sentence with Underwood. Swift would never make it throught the first audition for American Idol. Simon and Randy would making faces and laughing at her and her audition would be used for amusement on the show.

  to carriefan: entertainer of the year had nothing to do with her new CD play on.....this award is based on the past year. take note of all the winners and the songs that came out this past year/last half of year. carrie won ACM entertainer of year award.....kinda surprised that she didn't get it from the CMA's. Plus, she toured and swift didn't?.. your thoughts.

  Carrie, Kanye, Wynona - whatever the case may be... Taylor Swift won. Hate her or Love her - she's getting the last laugh as she swept the CMA's. I love Taylor Swift and she is one of the kindest people I have ever met (Having met a multitude of country's finest, I can say that). Taylor is and will be around for years to come - and the people who make comments about her will come and go...

  First of all, Carrie is not jealous of Taylor Swift at all. Carrie's album just came out, so she probably knew that it was too soon to be winning awards. Second of all, when she "interrupted" Brad, he wasn't even talking about Taylor anymore. Of course, US Weekly only managed to squeeze in what he said up to, "I can't even imagine a better," when he did indeed continue on to say, "night than this." However, the magazine just wanted it to seem like Carrie snubbed his praising of Taylor, which she did not. Whoever did not pick that up is pretty ignorant and does deserve to be making hateful comments when he/she does not even know what he/she is talking about (you should know who you are after you're finished reading this comment). In addition, what Carrie said was probably even a part of the script, and the show had to be ended in some way. Furthermore, it isn't Carrie who's jealous of Taylor Swift, it's all of Taylor's fan that are jealous of the fact that Carrie's overall musical ability simply blows away that of Taylor Swift. Please don't get confused.
