  The term cougar is demeaning to all women who are with younger men. Another point is...I've dated men my own age(50's)who are far less mature than many so-called younger men.

  i think theyre really happy. For those who understand soul mates , there is nothing wrong with the difference in their age. He was old enough to get married. They seem to have an "old" love if you read the article. They knew each other and loved each other long before the physical. Same thing for to my sister and her husband, only theyre only a year differance in age. But theirs was an "old love", soulmates, and married in months. i understand what she means completely. BUT, i do hate what they did to her picture, shes much prettier and her figure much more feminine than that photoCHOPPED pic. please, you only see those pics in covers of romance novels.

  Ok, so when she was getting her drivers license her future husband was just born...Some women get pregnant young and have a kid at that age, he could be her kid!! It must be weird for her own kids having to worry about hiding their guy friends or boyfriends from their mom in case things ever go south between her and Ashton. Demi's own friends better watch her around their sons...Are there no men her own age? Seriously, what do they possibly have in common when they are at different aspects of their lives?   She is way way too old for him. She tries so hard it is sad. He is naturally immature. I agree with posters who say that a younger man is fine but Ashton is just a large boy NOTHING manly about him. However, he is probably a really nice guy so that is why she likes him. Still, how can you think of him as an equal when you have about 20 yrs seniority over him?

  I think the term Cougar is demeaning to women. I understand why she wouldn't want to be called that. It strikes up an image of a horny older woman who wants to recapture her youth thru younger men. Why can't an older woman be with a younger man because there is a mutual attraction and sometimes chemistry is timeless. Why does the woman have to be viewed as an oversexed predator.
