According to the documents, which were first reported by TMZ.com, the couple had been married for less than two years and wed in February 2008. (Siegel is seeking spousal support and requests that Rossum pay all divorce costs.)

The couple began dating in 2007 but never announced plans to wed, instead opting for a confidential marriage license. It wasn't until August, when the pair split, that their secret marriage was reported.

This Justin guy must be a LAMO music producer if he can't support himself!

Interesting in People and other sites...other than US those commenting are overwhelmingly in favor or Kate...hence perhaps TLC's decision. Also, another major site had a poll team Kate or team Jon and again overwhelmingly it tipped for Kate. I, if pressed would be slightly in favor or Kate but am not a 'fan' of either and think the show should be cancelled altogether! From In-Touch:It's a busy day in Gosselin-ville. Jon Gosselin is trying to slow down -- if not halt altogether -- his divorce from Kate Gosselin, telling In Touch Weekly exclusively: "I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated ... I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon." He's filed paperwork looking to stall the divorce for 90 days "to regain control over the future of our family." In other news, TLC has announced that 'Jon & Kate Plus Eight' will now be titled 'Kate Plus Eight,' and Jon's role will be minimized.

OK, I didn't even know she was married. She's so beautiful and talented... who needs that guy?? He's apparently a jerk, too.

Earlier it said that she cheated on him with Adam Duritz; now they've changed their story. And no, 11:50, we're not dopey, lazy housewives who rely on support; it goes both ways; both spouses should support themselves, especially in this case when there are no kids involved.

LOL that's funny how you people jump all over him for asking for spousal support yet most of you are dopey housewives with a man who supports your laziness.

If he filed for divorce, why should she have to pay the costs? What an a$$hole, I hope she finds a damn good divorce attorney and he gets nothing!

He's taking her to the cleaners LOL
  • September 29, 2009 - 10:23am Anonymous Says:

It doesn't say anywhere that she cheated on him...!
  • September 29, 2009 - 9:52am Anonymous Says:

Just because he was cheated on doesn't give him the right to ask for support; to do it as "vengeance" is childish, stupid, and lame. As a music producer he doesn't need the money anyway. The only time someone should get support is if they've got kids and custody. Besides, I don't blame her for cheating on that greasemonkey; she can do much better, and I hope she does.

Where does it say that she cheated?
  • September 29, 2009 - 9:30am Anonymous Says:

I am sorry to hear this, but it happens!
  • September 29, 2009 - 9:26am Anonymous Says:

Where does it say anything about her cheating?
  • September 29, 2009 - 9:25am Anonymous Says:

She's not kicking him to the curb, HE'S divorcing HER. She must have done something to tick him off, THAT'S why he's asking her to pay the costs. Hey, you play, you pay, no matter whether you're the man or woman. I could not stand her in Phantom, everyone else was great, she acted like a stiff mannequin and her face and emotions did not even match the songs she was singing. Looked totally fake, a group of us watched it together and all thought the same thing about her. Look at her on IMDB, she doesn't get much work either, nothing even on her horizon, so he may not get much from her. I don't think money is the issue, the guy has his own. He's just mad at whatever she did, obviously.

I always thought one would have to be married at least 10 yrs to get spousal support. Spousal support was designed so that your lifestyle could be maintained. They were married less than two yrs...i'm sure he hadn't got use to his lifestyly with her in that short amount of time. LOOSER! Doesn't he have a job...he's the one filing for divorce now go find a second job if you can't support yourself. Probably the reason he married her in the first place. And before someone jumps down my throat about women doing the same thing...i agree! Ppl need to start supporting themselves instead of looking for others to support them. Lazy azzes!

I thought they had already filed for divorce.

    C'est la vie, Emmy.

Have you people ever heard of equality? If the man was the one who made the most money she would be looking for money from him. I donâ??t blame him a bit for asking for support, if just to get back at her for cheating.

I might seek spousal support too if I was cheated on.
