video: "Billy Ray Cyrus" Raps to Miley to Return to Twitter

Tuesday – October 13, 2009 – 2:12pm

Billy Ray Cyrus has a rap-response to his daughter's "goodbye Twitter" rap -- as imagined by Jimmy Fallon, that is.

Check out Billy Ray's personal baby pics of Miley and his other kids!

Two days after Miley Cyrus, 16, posted a YouTube video about quitting the social networking site, Fallon, 35, dressed up as her country star dad for his own video response.

Wearing a wig and backed by four male dancers in flannel, jeans and trucker hats, the Late Night host raps, "As long as my heart's beatin', I'm gonna be Tweetin'!"

Have you checked out today's hottest celeb photos?

The real Billy Ray, 48, lamented his daughter's decision to quit microblogging in an Oct. 9 Tweet: "Miley. You are light in a world of darkness. You were born 'Destiny Hope Cyrus' for a reason. You can't leave everyone now. We r countin on u."

In the first video, Cyrus explained her decision to quit Twitter: "I stopped living for moments and started living for people ... I want my private life private. I'm living for me."

Twitter is seriously the greatest sign I can think of our society's blatant vanity and undeserved self-appreciation. "I just ate a carrot." "I'm sad today." "I love my boyfriend." "I have to fart." Seriously, STFU, America!!!! NO ONE GIVES A DAMN!!! The only people who give a crap about Miley returning to Twitter are the sad, desperate tween fans who feel as if her Twitters (not sure what you call the posts) connect them in some way to her life (as if she gives a crap about any of them) and her father, apparently, who's gotta keep his little meal ticket in the limelight no matter what the cost. Ridiculous. Twitter is such a waste of Internet space, it's not even funny. Get off your @ss and do something worthwhile for mankind, instead of letting the whole world know about every second of your unimportant life.
